Every city is unique in its own way. From statues, to bridges, to buildings, it’s the little nuances of a city that truly make it fun to explore, even if it’s just for a day. Maybe you haven’t been able to scratch that travel bug itch. Maybe you’re recovering from feeling under the weather. Or maybe you just simply want to get out of the house! Whatever the case may be, it’s good to intentionally remove yourself from your comfortable surroundings for a bit. If you haven’t had the chance to do that in a while, no biggie. Luvet Lifestyle has you covered. So enjoy the gallery and window shopping from Konstanz, Germany, and start thinking of where you want to spend your next special day trip.

The aroma of fresh lake air, the allure of a little shop therapy (which doesn’t mean you have to buy), and the call of adventure combine to make the Konstanz experience charming and immersive.

The train runs along the lake, and stops and about five feet from the main shopping area, where the charisma of old world structures immediately captures your attention.

The main shopping area features a typical mall, but navigating the narrow streets and cobblestone alleyways always proves far more appealing. The intimate channels of this small town are where you can easily discover boutiques and vintage shops carrying pieces that truly add personality to your style.

Speaking of personality pieces, the CLOSED boutique also hides in these cozy locales. CLOSED is a German brand centered around “French imagination, Italian craftsmanship, and German tradition.” I’ve been admiring them ever since I arrived in Central Europe; so discovering their shop felt like being a kid on Christmas morning, and unwrapping a gift I didn’t actually know I wanted until the moment I saw it! Seeing their brand and aesthetic in person, gave life to the details and understated sense of their garments. It was definitely a highlight of the trip. You can read more about their story here.

*Side note suggestion: Journal your trip highlights. How did you feel and what made it special? These are the memories that will continue to spark the adventurer inside of you. These memories will reignite your creativity and quell your doubts when you feel stuck or uninspired.

Little day trips aren’t all about the shopping. They present a chance to step out of your little world for a time, and gain broader perspective. Engage in conversation with the servers while tasting the local brew. Ask shop attendants questions about the pieces laid out before you. Be friendly and personable. You’ll be provided with a refreshing cultural experience; one that rejuvenates your senses. Isn’t that what taking a day trip is all about?

You’ve heard about Konstanz, now we want hear from you! Are you in need of a day trip? Where are you thinking about heading next? Comment or email us at Luvetlifestyle@gmail.com for a chance to have your trip featured!
